These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Hestio. By using the service you agree to these terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Hestio you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Use of the Service
Hestio provides tools for residents and building managers to manage residency, maintenance, bookings, payments and communication. You may use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
Accounts & Security
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
Payments & Billing
Online payments made through Hestio are processed by the payment provider your building's company has connected — Stripe, PayPal, Mercado Pago, Tilopay (cards and Yappy) or PagueloFacil, depending on the country — on the provider's own secure page and under that provider's own terms of service, which you also accept when you pay with it. Where your building offers it, you may instead pay by bank transfer to the account your building's company shows you. Companies pay their Hestio subscription by card through Stripe. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete payment information and you authorise us and the provider you pay with to charge the applicable amounts to the payment method you select, including, where a provider offers it and you choose to pay from a bank account (for example a pre-authorised debit in Canada or an ACH debit in the United States), the corresponding debit from that account. Fees, charges and any applicable taxes are payable as shown at the time of the transaction. Refunds, where offered, are handled according to your building's policy and applicable law. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy or security of the payment providers' services, which are governed by their own agreements. Residents pay exactly what they owe. Hestio adds no fee to any payment a resident makes. A payment provider's processing fee is charged to the account of your building's company, and Hestio's fee on online payments is charged to that company under its agreement with Hestio.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the service, including attempting to access data that is not yours, disrupting the platform, uploading harmful content, or violating the rights of others or your building's rules.
Content & Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the content you submit, and grant us the rights needed to operate the service. Hestio and its software, design and trademarks remain our property.
Disclaimers & Liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hestio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
